The device is filtering air, but I had read that negative ions generally lead to a lot of dust accumulation on furniture, walls, etc. I dont see any evidence of dust accumulation. Am staying in a very polluted environment and just wanted to ensure the thing is working.

we have a “cat room” for our 4 cats where they have litter boxes, but the room smells and often the smell lingers out into the hallway. i don’t want to leave the window open since the room is downstairs. would an air purifier tower (oe even just a fan) work to keep air cirulating and get rid of the smell?.

In the past we bought this stuff for $10 a box and got (3-4?) cut pieces out of it. We bought it at Lowes in Burbank, CA. But, we’ve moved to a new city and don’t know where to find it locally. The local hardware stores don’t seem to carry it and I’m having a hard time finding it on-line. Could be because it’s late and I’m tired and my “google-fu” is weak right now.

I’m not looking for the whirlpool brand since it appears to cost about three times as much. I’d rather pay a fraction of the price and cut them to fit just as we have since we bought the darned thing.
